A Day In The Field
Randy Duncan

A day in the field
Was different from now,
Under the sun, who is pulling your plough.
Driving our cars on the freeway, get to work by eight.

A day in the field,
And I’m working for the man.
I try to keep my patience,
The best that I can.
I'm holding the world on my shoulders
I feel myself getting older.

Oh your mind, always keeping track of the time,
Ooh the grind, try to leave it behind.
A day in the field, has changed a lot.
A person was proud,
Of their crops. Working for the company,
It's just another one for me.

Ooh your mind, always keeping track of the time.
Ooh the grind, try to leave it behind
