Jan's Bio My FREE RIDE started in
Ottawa, 1961. In Kindergarten all I wanted to do was RIDE
MY SEE SAW. By grade 7 I was already LAZY, playing French
horn badly in the school band and paying more attention to the
music teacher's cleavage than to the notes at hand.
However, from an early age I developed a love for ROCK 'N' ROLL,
and would brave CROSS TOWN TRAFFIC to see the latest BLOCKHEADS
show. All I could do those years was IMAGINE how good it
was going to feel when SCHOOL'S OUT. In grade 12 I moved
INTO THE WILD and followed my family to VICTORIA. In 1990
I married my wife WHO promised to GIMME SHELTER on Denman
Island. My first few years on Denman I felt like an
INTRUDER but I am no longer a MYSTERY MAN. This island is
a great place to TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL. Today I
say to myself HERE COMES THE IMAGE when doing my photography and
pay the bills working on the CRIPPLE CREEK FERRY. I used
to just want to ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT AND PARTY EVERY DAY, but
I've found CONTENTMENT in my HOME BY THE SEA. Back to the band. |
